Born in San Francisco, Victoria Horning had the opportunity to travel to Europe at a young age where she was exposed to the elegance and great style of French and Italian design. During college, Victoria studied abroad in Florence and Paris, which greatly influenced her design aesthetic. While attending New York University as an Art History major, she interned in the fashion business at Vogue, Nina Ricci in Paris and Alexander Wang in New York. After graduation in 2009, Victoria had the opportunity to work at a factory in the Veneto region of Italy. Here she learned about the construction and production of footwear, which ignited her passion for shoe and handbag design. Her first attempt at shoe design resulted in the factory using her design in their spring collection which sold more than 200 pairs. She then further developed her technical design skills at the Ars Sutoria Footwear School in Milan.

In 2011, Victoria Horning Accessories was launched and was featured in the New York Times, Nylon Magazine and San Francisco Magazine. It was also featured in an exclusive editorial shoot for WW Magazin, a Swiss weekly magazine.  The handbags sold out at the boutiques that carried them in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco, including Curve and Satine Boutique.

Victoria has since gone on to consult and design full-range collections for a variety of brands, including J.Crew, Alexander Wang, Zara Footwear, Matt Bernson, Vince Women's Footwear, Frye Boots and Kenneth Cole while continuing the Victoria Horning brand.
